Kiara's problem right now is that daddy and grandpa told her that outsiders are dangerous. However, she can see that Nuka is not dangerous at all - he is weak and can't even hunt well. So what she has been told and what she sees stay in opposition. She is scared and confused, not knowing what to believe.
And yes, Kiara cannot hunt. She has yet to learn it. Nuka was described as a monster because he was said to be dangerous to lions. Being dangerous to prey is not bad at all ^_^
But, just beacuse Nuka hunt, he isn't dangerus. xD OMG, I would even make him to my housekitty xD He's just funny and cute ^^ Hm, bur Kiara ever think about the fact that every Lion hunt and kill other animals? Or did she ever think about Nukas side of the story? I don't think so ^^
I love Nuka to bits too. He is my favorite character ^_^
The only version of the story Kiara knows is the one of her own family. Actually, she doesn't yet know much (Simba and Nala want to perserve the innocence of their cubs as long as possible, so Scar and other are not spoken of). She will find out soon enough.
Well, the pridelands belong to Mufasa's pride. Only the pridelanders are allowed to hunt in the pridelands. Nuka is not one of them, so he commited a crime by hunting there. He was stealing Mufasa's food. Of course, Kiara doesn't know that he had no other choice and that there is nothing to eat in the outlands. Once she knows she'll understand.
More likely "Daddy said they are dangerous, but this one is so vulnerable. Could daddy have lied to me? But daddy must be right. Oh, it's so complicated!" Poor little girl is confused between what she's been told and what she sees.
